We are helping save 1 life at a time and we are not just talking about just horses!

The family set down and discussed what we should call the farm and we came up with Way’s Ranch. This will be easy to identify who we are from the last name.
We started in August of 2011 and took on some horses in need of care, (food, hoof care, love…) and realized the need for this in the four state area. Currently it is just my son, wife and her folks and I operating the ranch. We have the horses checked out by a vet and go from there as to the need of each and every one of the horses.
Way’s Ranch stands for a rescue for horses, not a slaughter house but love and care to train them and get them back to a good home. The horses that leave us to go to their new home are followed up with just to ensure that they don’t end up back with us due to lack of food and water. We are growing in number of horses and eventually will have to hire some people to help care for the horses. We want our employees to feel like we do a peaceful environment to come and enjoy a day at work and have fun doing it.
We feel the love and the passion for horses giving them what they need to become healthy and the freedom that one feels while riding a lovely animal such as this is a wonderful thing. It is so relaxing to ride in the open country with a horse that will give you just as much respect that you give them.

There are several ways that this could go. I want to obtain my license to do horse therapy to help people of all ages with their disabilities. We have a boys home close by and this could help prepare them for the outside world. We have a women’s shelter and this could help the realize that not every one is bad and help them over come some fears even if it was just to love on the horses. This will give my wife and I a satisfaction of helping others help themselves.
