The LaGrange Troup County Humane Society, Inc is a non profit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Georgia.

The Society works to increase the number of adoptions from the City of LaGrange Animal Shelter.

The LaGrange Troup County Humane Society strives to improve the lives of animals by:
• Purchasing dog/cat food and litter when needed.
• Obtaining vaccinations and, at times, providing emergency veterinary services for highly adoptable animals.
• Taking animals to adoptathons on the weekends to try to find homes for them. Volunteers participate at major events and go to the Mall and Wal-Mart.
• Educating the public on the humane treatment of animals, annual veterinary examinations, and the proper care and treatment of animals.
• Fundraising events are held annually (Pet Show, Fur Ball, etc)

Through community involvement, quarterly newsletters, educational programs, and our website, the Society promotes the adoptions of healthy animals, as well as educating the public to lessen the number of unwanted animals in this community.
Generous donations from humanitarians and countless volunteer hours from animal lovers allow the Society to continue its work in the LaGrange Troup County community
