My friends at C.A.R.E. call me Goldie, short for Goldilocks, because they say I have the softest, shiniest golden coat and my ears feel like velvet. Look deeply into my stunning eyes, and you’ll see right into my beautiful soul. Check out all my muscles. I am ripped because of my daily workouts and athleticism that I display when working with the volunteers. They take me for runs, long walks, and agility sessions. Besides being athletic, I am also very intelligent. I love to be challenged and stimulated mentally by doing nose work, learning new tricks and trying out all the new puzzle toys at the shelter. I already know most commands and just love learning new ones. I’m a little shy when I first meet new people, but am quick to warm up once I know them. When I bond with you, I love hard and will lean in for pets and scratches and even give out some face kisses. You can walk by a room and sometimes see me sitting in a volunteer's lap. When in new situations, I bark at things that alarm me (especially other dogs), and I will need extended training to walk gently on a leash without reacting. I would do best in a single-family home in a quiet, more rural or suburban neighborhood (I don't think I would enjoy being a city girl). My ideal owner would be a patient, understanding, skilled handler that can offer me comfort, security, and confidence. I hope it’s you! At nine years of age, my world was shattered when I was surrendered due to a family member moving in who has an allergy. It couldn't be helped. We are two beautiful long hair calico sisters waiting to bring love and joy into your life. We both love to be brushed and combed to keep our long hair silky smooth and petting, well, yes please as often as possible. We also love to play with toys and wand toys and small mice are our favorites. We are good at exploring and can turn just about anything into a toy. Let me introduce myself, Acorn here, I love to play inside tunnels and cardboard cat houses, and I'm really good at stealing toys from my human's hand and running off with it. While my sister, Autumn is a cuddly lovebug and will climb into a lap every chance she gets. We really enjoy sitting or even sleeping in the window to watch the world outside. Does your house have any windows? We'd love to meet you, the sooner the better.

Hi! I’m Clover, a beautiful, shy girl with big, brown eyes and the cutest freckles on my white paws. My soft, black fur is very silky, and the white markings on my face are pretty adorable. Everyone at C.A.R.E. has been so kind to me, and I get really excited when I see my new friends. My white-tipped tail wags like crazy because I love spending time with them, but I am still cautious of strangers and learning to try to trust. I haven't been exposed to much in my past, and I am discovering all the sights, sounds, and smells of the wonderful world outside, but I'm not going to lie, it is all very scary to me. I am very loving and eager to learn, and I want to bond with my people. On walks, I get fearful when there are a lot of noises and traffic, so I would do best in a single-family home in a quiet neighborhood where I can feel safe. Having a furry companion would be a double bonus because I love to play, and a canine friend will help build my confidence.
