💖🏡💖 Forever Home Update: Joey is now JoJo! His adopters say he has a GREAT purrsonality and the cutest kitten face! JoJo loves his toys, his kitty perch, and sleeping on the sunny windowsill. This is Ireland! She’ll be 3 years old this New Year’s Eve

I know this is the longest of long shots, but this little guy, Howard, is so worth it. Let me tell you about this sweet boy, so you can understand the seemingly insurmountable obstacle he’s facing.

Howard was always the quiet one of his litter; he preferred to play in his crinkle tunnel, by himself, while his siblings were racing around the room and wrestling with each other. Right up until a recent vet visit, I always thought he was just a bit stand-offish, and a loner. But that’s not the case. I was so wrong.

It’s almost as if he could understand those sad words the vet was using last week: “stage six heart murmur”, and “will probably not live past 6 months without an operation”. Ever since we heard this devastating news, he has been a complete snuggle bug. He wants to sit on my lap all the time, watching his siblings play. He purrs up a storm, and still has some energy to bat at a toy mouse occasionally. As I write this, his brother Hampton is licking the tears as they fall down my cheeks. It’s like they understand what is to come.

As you can imagine, FHS cannot afford the $10-20K cost of his life-saving surgery. I’ve been told that all I can do is love him and give him a great life- until his heart fails, and he breathes his last breath. So I’m just going to leave this here, because I feel like if I didn’t try to find some amazing, generous person to pay for his operation, I didn’t do everything I could to save him. 💖🏡💖 Forever Home Update: Ginger tabby, Fanny, is now 7 months old! Her adopter says, “We love her very much! She’s getting along great with our boy orange tabby named Luca!” Fanny even gets baths from brother Luca!
