We are an open-admission municipal animal shelter owned and operated by the City of Tallahassee, and serving the surrounding communities.

Our mission is simple; we work to protect the public and the welfare of all the animals in our community. Our official mission statement reads: The Tallahassee-Leon Community Animal Service Center (TLCASC) ensures public safety and the welfare of animals by enforcing animal control regulations and by providing a secure, healthy environment for animals in its care.

Our goals are simple too, and all focus around the primary goal of maximizing the number of lives we can save by:
