We just love seeing puppies growing up in their furrever homes! Check out this wonderful pup-date!

I wanted to share recent pics of our puppy we adopted back in July! This was Jess from the New Girl litter, who was with her brothers Coach, Winston, and Nick. Her name is now Skye! She is WONDERFUL, wants to be everyone’s friend and has been the best addition to my life. She’s still a little gal at 22 lbs. We haven’t done a breed DNA test yet but plan on it this holiday season and will have to let you know. Thank you for ALL you do!

Mort is a 2 year old Terrier with a sweet face and playful disposition! He's a special little man, and will need a very particular home. He does not like to share, so would be best in an all adult home, who can closely monitor his treats and toys.

Little miss Betty passed away this week. I was her foster mom for 3 great weeks and it's sad we didn't have more time. She would want me to help out in anyway I could in her memory. We love you Betty.

This is (in memory of) my Boston terrier Dash. He was 15 and the sweetest, most loving doggo. I rescued and fostered different creatures while he was living; and he welcomed everyone of them in as family. He’d be the first one to snuggle or calm them down. He had the best personality and I miss him dearly. Thank you for all you do to help these sweet babies!

We interrupt this Five Dollar Friday for an URGENT FOSTER FRIDAY plea! We are DESPERATELY looking for 2 foster families - one for a pregnant mama dog, and another for a mom and her 5 puppies. A shelter is a tough place for a mama to raise her babies, much less give birth. Mama dogs are calmer and more comfortable in a home, and babies are safer while they build up their little immune systems.

We provide ALL the needed food and supplies, YOU provide the space, love, and care!

It has been a very thankful week here at Humane Society, Tennessee Valley! We had the Pre-Veterinary students come by to give a very special Thanksgiving meal to our animals, and each adoptable pet has a card on their kennel saying what they are grateful for! (Treats are a big one, but long walks and puppy fosters are up there, too!)

Tomorrow, we'd like to turn the tables a bit and learn what YOU are thankful for! Of course, we're thankful for our donors every day, but we would like to know what our donors are grateful for, too!
