Ruh-Roh Raggy! A good ole' boy named Scooby landed in our care! Our Scooby is a super handsome, 3 and a half year old Boxer-Mix. He loves his Scooby snacks (treats, of course) and is very motivated to please humans. He sits nicely and we think he would be a great candidate to learn more. He doesn’t seem reactive to other dogs, but we always like to do a meet and greet to be sure it’s a good fit (please bring proof of rabies for your current dog). Scooby is looking for his very own Scooby Gang – is that your family? Scooby is neutered, up to date on vaccines, negative for FIV and FeLV, and microchipped. CHS is open 12-6 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Adoptions stop at 5:30 pm.

Meet our trusty Dusty! Dusty is an 8 year-old male cat. This lover boy has been with us since mid-September. He came into CHS as a friendly stray. Dusty is a chatterbox, chirping at the staff to make sure he is the first one fed! He loves attention and will thank you for yours by gently nudging against your hands, arms, and face. Dusty is the perfect and handsome addition your home needs! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for FIV and FeLV. CHS is open 12-6 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Meet Jersey! Jersey is a 1-year-old female Silver Labrador. She is sweet as pie (no pun intended for the holiday!) 🥧 Jersey loves anyone and everyone she meets- so much so that she loves to give hugs! Don't worry, we've been working with her on her manners when it comes to hugs! Jersey knows how to "sit", "shake", and is learning the command "lay down." Tennis balls are her favorite toy. Jersey isn't the biggest fan of crates but we think that may be due to the lengthy amounts of time she has had to spend in them in the past. With some positive reinforcement, training, and love, she could possibly learn to be okay with them again. We think she does well with other dogs, possibly cats, and is awesome with children. Jersey is a really good girl looking for someone to share their home and heart with her! She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and negative for heartworm. Visit her up until we close today at 6pm. Adoptions stop at 5:30 pm. We are closed Thanksgiving Day but resume regular business hours of 12-6 pm with adoptions stopping at 5:30 pm on Friday. CHS is located at 1515 Carmen Drive in Jackson, MI 49202.
