We are a non-profit, no-kill, cage free cat rescue hopefully will be able to open in Peru, IN.in 2016. We have many cats available for adoption!

The Scratching Post Cat Rescue is a no-kill, safe haven for felines in need in Miami County, Indiana. We are not-for-profit and operate strictly on donations and adoption fees. We aren't funded by Peru City or Miami County, as they choose to only help with the dog population. All of our cats/kittens are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Our goal is to find each and every one a loving forever home and to teach our community about the need for spaying/neutering all cats, including feral cats, that roam neighborhoods and keep repopulating year after year.

We are not run, owned, or paid for by the government. We are a privately owned and operated cat rescue. Founded by Shelley, who has a dream of rescuing and finding homes for cats in our community. We have a wonderful team of volunteers that are making this dream possible! We are 501 c 3 not-for-profit status now. Any and all donations are tax deductible!
