Ferne Animal Sanctuary has been saving the lives of unwanted and abandoned animals for almost 75 years. Your support will mean this vital work can continue.

Ferne Animal Sanctuary strives to provide care and refuge for unwanted domestic & farm animals. The Sanctuary rehomes dogs & cats within a 40 mile radius. Some horses & ponies are available for permanent loan; all other animals remain at the Sanctuary for the rest of their lives. Ferne relies entirely on donations & legacies to continue its work. Some of the animals come to the Sanctuary because they have been neglected or are no longer wanted. Others arrive because of circumstantial changes of their owners. All animals are given the care, attention & TLC they need to enjoy a happy life while they are at Ferne.


The Sanctuary is open to the public and a great place to visit, have a walk and visit our cafe and shop. Please note our opening hours are 10am-5pm, with the last admission at 4pm - thank you!
