HAPPY TAIL!
Good morning! I just wanted to give you a quick update on Nixie, now named Kinsey. She's been perfect and her transition couldn't have gone smoother.

She settled right into my home, goes for daily one-mile walks around the park, her favorite treat is carrots, she picked out a new bed at Petsmart and watched me put together her cot for when we relax on the screened-in back porch in the evenings. She has already earned free access to the house when no one is home but she likes to relax in her crate with the door open.

She has an appointment next week for a dental cleaning and some extractions. At the vet, the exam room we were in had life-size cat stickers on the door. Kinsey was staring intently at them trying to work out if they were real cats or not. Either way she wasn't concerned, just curious.

Attached to this email is a picture of Kinsey on Day 1 and Day 2 after her adoption. Things are going very well.

Brr... it's going to be a chilly week! The temperature is expected to drop to the upper 40s and low 50s, and we are in need of beds and blankets. The animals at HSSCG spend their nights and evenings alone, and a warm bed or blanket can make all the difference during their stay with us.

Donations can be dropped off 7 days a week from 8-4 pm. Beds can also be ordered on Chewy.com or Amazon.com and sent directly to our address. A shelter animal will appreciate it more than you know!
