Would we use this adorable picture of a tiny puppy in a recovery collar to get your attention??🤭 Yes! But it's for an important reason! We are extremely low on canned dog food! ⚠ We use canned food to help give out meds, as well as extra calories for some of our dogs AND the holidays are coming up, which means it's almost time for CANNED FOOD DAYS!🎉 It's a tradition at the Haven that every dog in our care gets treated to their own can of food on Thanksgiving and Christmas, but that requires around 200 cans! Puppies!! 💕We have so many puppies ready or soon-will-be ready for a forever home! As much as these adorable little faces brighten our day every time we see them, we also want them to have to spend as little time as possible here. If you are thinking of adding another furkid to your family, please come out and meet all of our adoptable Haven dogs and cats looking for a home!
All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations before adoption.

We want to send out a giant Thank You to Hailey and Jodie for giving Shooter a ride back to the Haven! Shooter ended up at a shelter in Fulton, MO and since he is microchipped, they were able to let us know he was there and Hailey and Jodie were nice enough to volunteer their help in getting him back to us. He left us as a puppy, but he’s a big happy boy now and needs a little help with some skin issues, but we hope to find him a forever home soon!

All attitude! These little firecrackers were 15 in total when they arrived at the Haven. Unfortunately we quickly knew something was wrong when a sibling suddenly passed away. Immediately we tested the pups to find out they have Parvo. 😭 The good news is that we think we’ve caught it early and that gives them a better chance at survival. The bad news is that we will be halting intake of any new dogs while we care for this large litter. All animals that arrive at the Haven get fully vaccinated, so we have lots of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats still available for adoption! We will keep you updated for when we are able to bring in more dogs, until then please keep these babies in your thoughts. Parvo is a horrible virus and it’s going to take a lot of resources to care for them. Any donations towards their care would be appreciated. ♥️

Meet our tri-pod: George! Not only is George a three legged boy, but he has been diagnosed with Megaesophagus. This loving little man has to eat and drink from a special chair to ensure that food and water makes it's way down to his stomach. Something that happens pretty commonly in animals with Mega-E is that they get aspiration pneumonia, and unluckily, he was no exception. George has had it pretty rough lately!! Breathing treatments, lots of antibiotics, and lots of spoiling have made this guy feel so much better ❤

Hello from our beautiful Ruby! She's a friendly girl who will soon turn 7, and she would really prefer to do it in a real home! Ruby came to us with her son when their owner was making a move without them. Her puppy has been adopted, but Ruby is still waiting. Ruby likes people of all ages, gets along well with most other pets (a meet and green is suggested), and has been a house dog (she might need a potty training refresher but it shouldn't be too difficult for her to transition back to living indoors). Ruby loves walks, car rides, comfy beds, and spending time with her human friends. Ruby will make a great addition to nearly any family! Come meet her 9-4 today because we're sure she'll be your new best friend.

Meet Polomo! He is a very large guy, weighing at 80 pounds. We believe he is a Husky/Catahoula mix. Before he was brought to the Haven, his previous owners had him as an indoor dog. Polomo is housetrained. He does great on car rides and does fine with baths and leash walks. Polomo is fine around other dogs, but we recommend a meet-and-greet with any potential fursiblings before going home. He chases cats, but he does not hurt them. He just sees them as a playmate! We are told he does fine with children as well. He loves toys and is a very playful boy. He knows basic commands. Polomo was raised in a Spanish-speaking home and knows most of his commands in Spanish! Polomo is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all shots. He is 80 pounds and his estimated date of birth is 5/2/19. Polomo hasn't been at the Haven long, and he hopes to keep it that way! Come meet Polomo, and let's get him back in a real home soon.
