Whenever anyone visits Dug in his yard, he will run to greet you by jumping on a dog house, a rock, his play structure, or this log. He knows he's not allowed to jump up on people, so he has learned to jump onto something that gives him a little height so he can be closer to your face - so he can give you slobbery kisses.

Lola loves being able to climb up to the top of her play structure. She and her kennel mate, Kova, keep a close eye on the surrounding area. From their vantage point they can see cows grazing in the nearby field or they can see if anyone is walking down the driveway toward the kennel (possibly to take them for a walk!)

Lola also likes greeting people from the play structure. It allows her to be eye level with you and give you big, loving licks on your face. She wants nothing more than to be hugged and pet.

Crowley is one of the sweetest kittens here at Living Free. This handsome boy is always purring and loves to receive cuddles and kisses. He is wonderful with other cats and does well with dogs. Crowley is also very playful. This sweet boy will surely put a smile on your face.

Dug is a fun-loving dog. He has a very playful, exuberant personality. He can be wary of strangers but will warm to new people with a proper introduction. He enjoys going on long walks and especially enjoys playing in water. Dug is highly food motivated and loves getting treats for good behavior. However, because of his high food drive, he can be guarded about his food bowl during mealtime.

Dug will make a wonderful companion to an experienced adopter in an adult only home. He will flourish in an environment with set boundaries and positive reinforcement.

Our kennel is very happy to share the news of mama dog, Cleo's adoption! Cleo was a wonderful mother to nine puppies. After raising them, she was actually a little relieved to finally see them all adopted into their forever homes (it's exhausting caring for nine puppies). She has been patiently waiting for a family to call her own and we are so happy she has finally found one.

Our kennel received an early update on recently adopted Julia - and it seems she has joined a really wonderful family. She has already settled in and made herself part of the Keller household. Her adopter, Tracy shared:

"Julia is just such a joy. She has brought so much happiness to our lives after losing Lil' Joe to cancer. Julia is all puppy and any worries we had about her personality being reserved were completely squashed after about 2 hours of her being home with us.

We are working on potty training and basic skills like sit, lay, stay, come. After just a few days, she was already picking it up. She's super smart. It's also refreshing to have a dog that LOVES other dogs ... Joe didn't do well with others. But Julia cries if she can't go out and play with the dogs in the neighborhood. So much fun for us to have a well socialized pup.

In the picture of her with the towel, she just spent the morning running around in the dirt doing her zoomies and rolling in the mud. We gave her a quick rinse (she didn't like that). But she is cozy as ever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do. It made us happy to see once Julia's profile came down from your website that there was almost immediately a new dog profile up. A life saved -- saves two.

Sweetie is exactly as her name implies: an absolute sweetheart. She adores being around people. She enjoys visits from people and walks around our property. She is always wagging her tail - a truly happy-go-lucky dog. Sweetie arrived at Living Free with some health issues that included limited eye-sight. Since her arrival at Living Free, she has made vast improvements. She recently had a clean bill of health from our veterinarian, including a note that her eyesight seems to be significantly better. Sweetie can be a very crafty gal and will do everything it takes to be close to people when she hears them nearby. She will require a home with adequate fencing around the yard.

Sweetie will be a joyful addition to your home. She will do best with an adopter who is home often and will love her for her sweet, happy personality.
