If our social media has seemed a little different lately, this is why! Dr. Parker and I have been spending vacation time volunteering with @worldvets1 on San Cristóbal Island of the Galápagos! Dr. Parker led a team of six veterinarians, three vet techs, and several vet assistants to open a new vet clinic; over the week, 343 dogs and cats were serviced with free spay and neuter services and free veterinary care. The clinic is a part of the newly launched Conservation Medicine Program, working to protect the biodiversity of the Galápagos Islands.

Española Humane is hosting a series of free and low-cost vaccine clinics made possible through Petco Love’s new national vaccination initiative, which is providing 1 million free pet vaccines to its existing animal welfare partners, including US! Our goal is to vaccinate 1,000 pets 🥇

Parvovirus and distemper in dogs and panleukopenia in cats are some of the most prevalent and deadly vaccine-preventable diseases. An estimated 30% of pet parents are unable to visit a vet annually for preventive care. To address this critical need, Española Humane and Petco Love are partnering to make pet vaccines free and accessible.

All dogs must be on a leash and all cats in carriers. Please bring previous vaccine records.
