Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary & Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable and educational animal welfare organization. RVAS does not receive any government funding and relies solely on the contributions of public donors.

To eliminate the neglect, abuse and abandonment of companion animals caused by human ignorance, intolerance and indifference. And to celebrate the joys created by the human-animal bond by education and example.

RVAS provides rescue support and proper placement for homeless animals.

RVAS also provides sanctuary to special needs animals for as long as they are able to live a quality life. We rely heavily on long term fosters and lifetime loving homes who are experienced and committed in caring for special needs both physically and psychologically.

RVAS is also dedicated to keeping companion animals in their home by working with pet owners and finding viable solutions to retaining their pet rather than relinquishing it to shelters and rescues.
