Currently, the local humane society focuses on assisting low-income pet owners with spay and neuter surgeries to reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens born in Randolph County. We also assist law enforcement upon request with a variety of animal problems and we provide educational programs to schools and other groups. SPAY-NEUTER ASSISTANCE APPLICATION INFORMATION: Low-income pet owners may apply to RCHS for financial assistance spaying or neutering cats or dogs. ("Low-income" is less than $25,000/yr TOTAL HOUSEHOLD income.) Applications are available at either veterinary clinic in Pocahontas. Follow instructions on the application and be SURE TO INCLUDE PROOF OF INCOME. If you do not, application will be returned.
