Greyton Farm Animal Sanctuary

This sanctuary is for orphaned, sick, abused, neglected or retired farm animals where their every need is met for the rest of their natural lives. Strict no breeding policy.

Greyton Farm Animal Sanctuary is a registered non-profit 187-044 NPO. Based at Tabularasa Farm, 7 kms from Greyton in the Western Cape of South Africa, the sanctuary offers a forever home to orphaned, sick, abused, neglected or retired farm animals, giving them a natural, full and long life with all their needs met. Vets attend the farm regularly. Absolutely no breeding of any animal, including our rescue cats and dogs, is allowed to take place in this sanctuary. The sanctuary is also a resource for Greyton Transition Town's Humane Education Programme which aims to reach every child between the ages of five and eighteen years within the area of Greyton and neighbouring communities within the next five years. The sanctuary is owned and run by Nicola Vernon. We welcome donations and sponsorship of the animals. Piggies are R300 per month full sponsorship, sheep are R200 per month - or any amount you can manage if you are prepared to share.
