Whispering Winds Animal Sanctuary is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We are a no kill sanctuary for both wild & domestic horses that call the ranch home

Whispering Winds Ranch is a no-kill animal welfare organization that provides a safe haven for all equine, wild and domestic, that are unwa nted, or might otherwise be slaughtered or suffer abuse. We do not discriminate based on health, age, or breed, but might be limited due to space availability.
We provide shelter, care, rehabilitation, and emergency life saving or necessary medical attention, if needed. All stallions in our care are gelded before being placed with general population or being adopted. We are a no breed facility.
Once emotionally and/or physically healed, our adoption services search for qualified homes and offer basic education to new adopters regarding care and treatment of rescued animals.
Those animals that are not adopted will live their lives out in a sanctuary/long term setting. We will only euthanize when quality of living has deteriorated, and not as management.


We believe that every animal has a right to life so we do not euthanize to control but allow these horses to roam freely and live out their lives in a safe and peaceful environment. It is our mission to help as many as we can, and although we may not have room at the ranch, we continue to network and work with several other organizations in rescuing, placing, fostering, and transporting both dogs & horses. We believe that working together with other rescues and rescue organizations opens up more possibilities to assure animals are given a better chance to that wonderful life.
