STOP scrolling RIGHT NOW and look at this adorable guy!!! 😍

Meet Satchel! He is a great mix of fun and chill. He is easy-going and makes for great company when hanging out, but when it's time to play, prepare to be entertained! Satchel has some great moves, with big sweeping play bows and silly butt-tucked zoomies. He has been consistently playful and social with other dogs too!

He lights up for butt scratches, is generally attentive, and already knows how to sit on command. He is quite food-motivated so would likely be a quick, engaged student for someone wanting to work on more tricks and commands together! Satchel is estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs 62 lbs.

#TongueOutTuesday😛 Exuberant RosaLee is like a ray of sunshine. It's hard not to pick up on and share her zest for life!

This silly sweetheart is always excited to get outside for walks, making for pleasant company. In the play yard, one of her signature moves is bursting into zoomies and then flipping onto her back for belly rubs. She seems to be a nice balance of active and playful as well as attentive and sweet. With other dogs in play group, she was social and playful.

We could see her making a loving new family member! RosaLee is estimated to be around 3 years old and weighs 58 lbs.

Nova is a charming little nugget! She is terribly sweet and seems so eager to please. She loves being in your lap, and soaking up affection and praise in any form! She has also shown that she can do okay spending time on her own and relaxing while in one of our staff offices, so we're hoping she'll be the best of both worlds once in a home!

Volunteers report that Nova makes for an easy and cheerful companion once she's out and about. She might do some light begging for your lunch, but she'll be mostly polite and dainty about it. Plus, Nova has a VERY distinguished underbite, so what's not to love? She is around just a year old, and weighs 45 lbs.

Meet Plunket, aka mister tall, dark and handsome! (He’s actually kind of a low-rider, so maybe we should call him stout, dark & handsome😆)

Plunket has been enjoying an extended sleepover with a volunteer, and being a wonderful houseguest! In between trying on different outfits to cheer on the Browns, Plunket has enjoyed catching up on naps and snuggling with his hosts. While he can be more anxious at the kennel, in a home environment, he revealed that he is actually a more chill boy with a pretty moderate energy level.

Plunket only had one accident and seems like he picks up quickly on a routine,l. He has done quite well in his crate. And for activity, Plunket is a bit of a treat hound and seems to enjoy a good game of "find it" or showing off his tricks, which include sit and down. Plunket is estimated to be around 2 or 3 years old and weighs 60 stocky lbs.

Happy hippo mama seeking her very own couch! Cali has a sweet and easy-going personality. If you're looking for a lady that seems pretty low-maintenance and chill, she could fit the bill!

She is up for a little playtime and enjoys her chance to go for a nice walk, but she is more about hanging out and getting loved on. She'll flop right over for belly rubs, or happily plonk herself down to accept some praise and some treats. She'll charm you with her fancy sits, head tilts and signature sploots. Cali is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs a portly 77 lbs.

Unfortunately, Cali has a torn ACL and she needs our help! @friendsofcitydogscleveland can cover the cost of surgery, but Cali will need a calm home where she can recover and recuperate. Luckily, this girl seems like she will be into that "rest" period and would likely love to fill it with snuggles.

Join us for Barktoberfest - a special adoption event this coming weekend!

The kennel is FULL and we need your help finding homes for our dogs! This 4-day adopt-a-thon will kick off on Thursday, October 21st and run through Sunday, October 24th, continuing with our $21 reduced adoption fees!

We will be offering special walk-up adoptions Thursday, October 21st, and Friday, October 22nd from 12pm to 6pm, in addition to Saturday, October 23rd, and Sunday, October 24th from 12pm to 4pm. We are hoping to find homes for our great dogs as MANY have been waiting for a long time, and we have been operating at or over capacity for months.

This could be a great time to bring home a new best friend - get a companion to go on hikes and enjoy the beautiful fall colors, or to cozy up on the couch as the weather gets chilly!

You can view all adoptable dogs at petango.com/cacc. Our usual adoption procedures will still be in place. Interested adopters will be paired with an adoption counselor who will introduce you to dogs and hopefully try to find a good match for your household! We ask that all members of the family attend for meets to ensure a good fit, including resident dogs.

We like Ike! This compact boy with his cute cowhide pattern is bursting with smarts. Ike greatly enjoys his walks with volunteers and most recently has emerged as a potential hiker - a casual one because he doesn't need to go a very long time before he's ready to head back and relax. He is reported to be pretty easy-going on leash, and seems to enjoy having plenty of time to investigate lots of smells.

He also has some tricks under his belt as he knows sit, paw, and is perfecting down! He sure loves his treats and would likely be motivated to learn more with his future people. Based on his kennel behavior, Ike seems like he could be housebroken. During downtime, he is sweet and attentive to his person, enjoying the chance to just hangout and lean against a leg and watch the world go by. This attentive, curious boy is estimated to be around 3 years old and weighs 47 lbs.

Dapper, distinguished Weaver is here to make your acquaintance! This regally handsome, mature gentleman can come across as a bit stoic at first, as though he's playing it cool. But that makes it all the more entertaining when he gets to know you well enough to get comfortable...then he lets the derpy flag fly!

Weaver has a charmingly silly way of engaging in pets or seeking attention. Most of the time, though, he's just a more laid-back guy. He is curious and observant, and enjoys sniffing around on walks. We suspect he would also enjoy clocking plenty of time on a comfy couch, content to simply hang out together! Weaver is estimated to be around 8 years young and weighs 68 lbs.

Kavon has amassed quite the photo portfolio! He has mastered everything from the supermodel handsome pose to perfect selfies with friends to action shots on runs to the derpiest of expressions!

When not working the camera, he can be found romping around the play yard with his favorite stuffies, sampling chew toys or going on adventures with his volunteer buddy. Kavon makes for a leisurely walking companion, content to stroll around and stop to literally smell the flowers. He is also a good passenger in the car, enjoying the feeling of wind in his fur. During down time, he'll show off that he knows "sit" and "down" and this smarty-pants seems to be picking up on other commands as well.

Kavon has a sensitive side, and would benefit from a quieter environment to adjust in a new home, but he seems to form strong relationships with his people - and he has many fans here! Kavon is estimated to be around 2 or 3 years old and weighs 58 lbs.

With a name like Piglet, you might be expecting small and compact, but our Piglet is a big hunky blockhead! In fact, he is probably the current winner of "Biggest Head in the Kennel." (Though he does have some dainty little teef😁)

Piglet overall is a chill, observant, curious boy, with spurts of playfulness mixed in for good measure! He's quite fun to watch when he gets going with toys in the play yard (just watch out when he takes a flying leap so you don't get clocked by that noggin!) Piglet might seem a bit stoic at first, but he does get more sweet and dopey with time. He may fit in well with a more moderate-energy household that likes some fun every now and then for entertainment! Piglet is estimated to be around 2 years old.

"What do you mean I have something stuck in my teeth?" -Dice

You won't need to "roll the 🎲 " meeting our Dice! He is a dog of simple pleasures: a little sunshine, his favorite ball, and he's content. This sweet, mature gentleman makes for pleasant company. A bit shy at first, Dice has opened up and has become known for being an easy-going, curious boy to hang out with. He greatly enjoys sniffing around on his walks, and often walks with a loose leash and checks in frequently with his people. Dice is happy to take breaks to lean into his person's legs for some booty scratches, as well. Dice seems to have some manners under his belt as he already knows how to sit (and is quite a cookie monster). He also seems like he could be housebroken. Dice is estimated to be around 8 years old, but has plenty of energy and playfulness to share! He weighs around 67 lbs.

Whether it's time to play with toys, explore on a walk, or meet new friends, Marvel is ready to do it with a wagging tail and boundless enthusiasm. He's a strong boy and has moments of bounciness when excited, but overall tends to settle nicely and can be quite sweet and affectionate! He seems like a people pleaser.

Marvel would love to be a friend to many, but his nemesis seems to be cats and is seeking a home without them. Marvel is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs a stocky 59 lbs.
