National Animal Welfare Trust Hertfordshire

National Animal Welfare Trust's Hertfordshire rescue centre in Watford is home to dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs and rehomes around 400 animals a year

The National Animal Welfare Trust's first rescue and rehoming centre, the Watford site had previously been a commercial boarding facility since at least the 1930s, and during the Second World War was advertised as a safe place to evacuate your pets to from London to avoid the Blitz.

The four and a half acre site is still providing a place of safety and rehabilitation to more than 400 animals a year. All animals we rehome are vet-checked, neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped before being rehomed.
