The Humane Society of Northeast Florida

We are a private, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to:

- Establishing and operating a No Kill shelter facility to ensure comfort and assistance to all pets in need in and around Northeast Florida.

-To adopt companion animals into homes for life.

-To encourage and strengthen thehuman/animal bond with programs and services that focus on the needs of both people and animals.

-To create lasting and comprehensive change in humane behavior toward animals through education about responsible pet ownership,including the spaying and neutering of pets, and about humane and respectful treatment of all animals. In addition to caring for animals in need, a goal of The Humane Society of Northeast
Florida is to educate the public, and to promote the spaying andneutering of companion animals at an early age. This routine procedure prevents the birth of unwanted litters, thus helping to reduce the euthanasia of healthy animals.

- Medical care and appropriate shots
are provided for all animals put up
for adoption, including rabies shots and Putnam County tags.
