The Brook Park Animal Shelter is operated by Brook Park Animal Control. The Animal Shelter is established for the resident of Brook Park and to server the community.

To Carry out the duties of Animal Control Officers in the City of Brook Park.

Responsibilities of the City of Brook Park
Department of Animal Control

• Protect the community from those animals which constitute a nuisance or are dangerous or vicious.

• Protect animals from cruel treatment or neglect.

• Enforce the Animal Control codes in sections 505 and 506 of the codified ordinances of the City of Brook Park.

• Operate and manage the City of Brook Park, Animal Control Shelter.

• Provide care for all the animals in the custody of the shelter.

• Responsible for capturing stray cats and dogs.

• Responsible for trapping of wildlife.

• Responsible for investigating bite reports.

• Responsible for collecting dead animals, that does not have an owner.

• Responsible for euthanizing wildlife and feral cats.

• Responsible for educating the public on the values of responsible pet ownership.

• Responsible for working with volunteers in the shelter and the community.

• Responsible for working with other government agencies on animal control and environmental issues.
