OUR MISSION

International Human Rights Defenders and Press Society (IHRDPS) is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people living in Bangladesh.

We already have a tremendous amount of publicity for human rights. Our intentions are to educate and aware people of their basic human rights so that they are able to defend themselves from illegal actions. In order to educate people there are group discussions, seminars and training programs for different classes of people in society. Our organization has grass root level leaders, NGO volunteers, parents, teachers, and women who support human rights awareness. We campaign on a wide range of human rights issues such as: violence against women, children, arms trade, death penalty against poor people, and dealing with human rights when it comes to both terrorism and security.

There are endless violations that need to be addressed and brought to justice which include: Women and children being abused, child labor violations, gender biases (unfair treatment), illegal occupancy of land, both falsehood and harassment cases, etc.

We want to investigate these violations. There needs to be publication letters, magazines and actions taken against those who violate human rights, and those who abuse rules and regulations. We need to get the media involved and make these issues profound to the public to spread awareness.

When victims are deprived of their justice we care and help support them by legal means. At the same time we place pressure upon government and corrupted administrations in order to take action. It all adds up to a massive public pressure, which will protect human beings everywhere in the world along with Bangladesh.

There has to be an emphasis on human rights for victims and ethnic minorities. Strong network connections with local human rights organizations such as NGO and international human rights organizations are important and must be maintained.

Poor people need justice socially and economically. We need to get more people involved and help form collaborations which will acquire justice for these people.


OUR VISION



Our vision is for every person to enjoy all the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other International Standards.

IHRDPS was founded on the belief in the power of ordinary people to make extraordinary change. It stands with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom to protect people from inhumane conduct and to bring offenders to justice. It challenges governments and those who hold power to end abusive practices and respects international human rights law.

We have 4 main ways in our visions and that is:

# We expressed human rights violations in News Media nationally and internationally and investigate the real causes.

# We promote social awareness, support legal assistance, develop more adequate environment of laws for victims and networking human rights.

# We protest injustice in legal way.
# We counseling victims for necessary action from injustice

International Human Rights Defenders and Press Society (IHRDPS) is
an organization established on the basis of
Universal Declaration of Human Rights of United Nation to provide awareness about
Human Rights, Legal Consultation, Legal Aid, Press Conference,
Participation in National and International Seminars, Human Rights Research & Investigation,
National and International Networking, Lobbing,
Broadcasting the News of Human Right violations,
Training of Human Rights workers, and generating local consciousness about Human Rights,
Resolving Family Quarrels through counseling, Helping peoples during disasters and volunteering to protect Human Rights among all over Bangladesh without any help of foreign funds or Organizations. This organization is maintained and ran by a membership fee and small donations given from noble people in Private sectors.
