Orcas Animal Protection Society
Orcas APS is a 501[c][3] non-profit organization.
The Mission of the Orcas Animal Protection Society is to promote the humane care of animals by:
1. operating an animal shelter;
2. educating the public about responsible pet care;
3. facilitating the adoption of unwanted dogs and cats into loving homes;
4. providing spay/neuter services to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats.
Services Provided
* Accepting stray animals or those relinquished by an owner;
* Offering cats and dogs for adoption;
* Training youth and adult volunteers for animal care tasks;
* Scanning of found animals for microchip identification;
* Feral cat testing for FIV and Feline Leukemia, as well as spaying or neutering before returning to their home territory;
* Offering lower cost spays and neuters.
Services Not Provided
* Accepting any wild animals;
* Accepting gravely injured or obviously sick stray animals;
* Boarding owned animals;
* Euthanizing animals, except if in the best interest of the animal.
