Animal Aid

Animal Aid is a not for profit Animal Welfare organisation dedicated to the care and rehoming of lost, unwanted, surrendered and abused animals.

Animal Aid exists to unite people and pets for life

Animal Aid is an animal welfare organisation dedicated to the care of all lost and unwanted animals. Each year Animal Aid cares for and rehomes thousands of companion animals in Victoria, including cats and dogs, pocket pets and small livestock. Animal Aid receives no government funding and relies on the generous donations and assistance provided by the local community.

Animal Aid operates as an 'Open Door' shelter and never refuses an animal in need. We believe that all animals deserve the safety and comfort of a loving home and we aim to provide that opportunity to every animal that comes through our doors; whether that be through reuniting a lost pet with their owners, or finding a new forever home for an abandoned animal.

Animal Aid does not euthanize animals for financial reasons, lack of space or if an animal has been with the shelter for a long period of time. The only time that an animal will be put to sleep is if they have a serious health issue or temperament problem that cannot be rehabilitated.
