Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue, and Education - Parrot Shelter
CAARE is a volunteer run, North Dakota non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation devoted to the welfare of parrots.
To reach out and educate the public on the appropriate health care and general well-being of companion parrots.
To find homes for displaced companion parrots through our adoption program.
To provide a friendly and caring environment for our members and guests to socialize and learn from one another.
The Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue, and Education (CAARE) is a parrot shelter, focusing on rescue, education, and adoption of companion parrots. The shelter is 100% volunteer-ran and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the state of North Dakota.
We provide temporary housing and care for any and all Psittacine birds while we work to find them a new adoptive family through our Adoption Process .
We also educate the public about the proper care of exotic birds whenever anyone not familiar with owning and caring for parrots comes into our shelter. If you or anyone you know would like us to attend an event, please reach out to us!

Other services that we offer during our Public Hours :
Grooming - Nails trimming, Wing clipping, Baths, and Beak Trimming (if necessary).
Boarding - We offer boarding (based on a low, daily rate) for your parrot, or parrots.
Avian Warehouse - Stop by and shop in our Warehouse! We have a huge selection of toys, perches, etc., for your feather friends.
