Purr 'N Ruff Rescue 501c3 Non-Profit

Purr 'N Ruff Rescue was founded in 2012 and is recognized as a 501c3 Non-profit, that operates in counties along South Dakota I-90 Interstate.

Our mission is to find forever homes for the unwanted and homeless animals, and to give pet owners other resources in dealing with their difficult pet other than abandoning them. We also promote spaying & neutering your animal.

My name is Gail and I am the President/ Founder of Purr 'N Ruff Rescue. Purr 'N Ruff Rescue was established June 10, 2012 and based out of Mitchell, South Dakot, and is recognized as a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. Purr 'N Ruff Rescue receives animals that have been found or abandoned within Davison and Surrounding Counties. When an animal is found within City Limits, It is advised to contact your local Animal Control Officer. In 2016 we opened up the "Pet Food Pantry", to help those needing short term assistance in caring for their pet (food, liter, dewormer, blankets, etc...) rather than giving them up. We also offer our assistance and services to other Communities, Shelters, Rescues, Humane Societies, and the Surrounding States (MN, ND, Ne, Iowa, and Wy) and if we have availability we will accept Transfers and Surrenders. We currently do not have a facility, so all our animals are all placed in Foster Homes. All Animals In our care receive a Temperment Test, Vaccinations, Microchipped, Complete Blood Panel, Spayed / Neutered before being Adopted!!

**WE ARE IN NEED OF FOSTERS**
We seem to be getting quite a few animals that are looking for people to love them until they find there FUREVER home. Fostering is such an awarding gift that everyone should experience. The animals that we receive mostly come from 60 mile radius of Davison County & have been dumped, abandoned, or from another Shelter, & may have been abused, so we don't have a lot of information, if any at all. (age, good with kids, good with other animals, etc.) A lot is learned in the first few hours they are in the foster's home. What we can guarantee is that they will come to you with there vaccination up to date & have been thoroughly checked by our Veterinarian before entering your home. They may or may not get along with other dogs or cats, so they will need proper introductions. If at anytime we receive an animal that shows or exhibits potentially dangerous behaviors we will not ask you to foster the animal, but will find an appropriate setting for the animal
All necessary supplies ( toys, bedding, kennel, carrier, litter & food are provided by the rescue, That means there is no cost to you! If you feel you would like to help out & give some unconditional love, feel free to complete & email us back a Foster Application, We would love to welcome you aboard...
