Berry came to PAWS by way of the pound after he had been trapped. The reason for trapping is unknown. Perhaps it was out of concern, to get him off the street. Or maybe due to annoyance, as some people dislike cats, at least on their property. It seems Berry was a neighbourhood stray who luckily was fed by caring folks. But as an outdoor tomcat he had to endure fights and the elements.
That is no longer the case for handsome black Berry. He’s up to date with his vetting and is now neutered. He’s very friendly with a penchant for head-butting. Food is important to Berry and he’s particularly vocal at meal times. We suspect Berry is quite willing to leave his past behind and will be most appreciative for a home of his own. And for a family he can affectionately head-butt.

Finny is a sweet senior boy who is looking for a quiet retirement home!

Finny gets along well with cats, and turns into a puppy when he sees other dogs. It is recommended he go to a home with older children.

He is not interested in toys but loves going for walks and being by his foster moms’ side. He is kennel trained and sleeps in there at night.

Due to recent health issues, Finny requires liver supplements and a special diet to keep him going strong.

He does not ask to go outside but will start to pace when he has to go.

I my name is Samantha but my fosters call me Sammy!
I would be best suited in an only pet home or a home that has older dogs, no cats.
I can be possessive of toys therefore would do best with older dog savvy children.
I have a lot of energy and would benefit from an active home, who will continue to work on my leash manners.

I’ve been working on simple commands such as sit, stay, off and ok, I sometimes forget personal space is a thing oops.

I love everyone I meet and can’t wait to find a forever home!

This is Diesel, he is four years old and loves to have his head scratched and will back into your legs when you’re sitting down so he can be near you. He thoroughly enjoys going for walks especially when he can be off leash in the farmers fields. When really cold out he is quite willing to walk on the treadmill. He likes playing catch but will only give the ball back to you if you have another one to throw, sometimes he steals both balls. He’s pretty good at hide and seek and knows his commands for sit, stay, lay, roll over, paw. He is kennel trained and that is where he spends his nights. Diesel is a gentle soul that has never chewed anything other than his chew toys, he does not dig in the yard, will only eat his food once you say OK, and knows he is not allowed in the kitchen.

Diesel had some issues gaining weight therefore needs to have a 2 inch piece of frozen pancreas in his kibble every morning; he has had no digestive problems. (Pancreas is available from Portage Abattoir)

He currently lives in a home with no young children or other pets but seems to do well with the ones he meets on walks

Finn is in need of a foster or forever home

Finn is a big boy and has not been socialize well. That being said Finn would do best in a home that is willing to help him learn to meet new people.

This handsome boy would do best as an only pet he is around 6months old.
