KONI is available for adoption!
Koni is a sweet girl who craves love and attention. She is seeking a home with lots of cuddles and evening belly rubs! She is easy-going, and loves to go for walks and car rides. Though timid at first when meeting new dogs or people, she warms up to them quickly. Koni eats with enthusiasm. She is still learning manners around food (counter surfing). Koni is a very curious girl, and loves to follow her people around the house. She would love a home where there is someone home most of the day.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, when our cup overflows (with kibble), we are able to share the wealth with other local charities! 🤝
Please consider supporting Village of Hope and their mission to uplift the people (and pets) in our community. ❤️
Reposted from @villageofhopeniagara Village of Hope sends a huge thank you to Pets Alive Niagara for donating two heaping cartfuls of dog food! A lot of Village of Hope's clients have animal companions, and this generosity will go a long way towards seeing their needs are met. Thank you all so much.

“Our Village Cares in the Season of Hope” is lifting spirits in our Village this holiday season. Our Lincoln neighbours in need are facing the most difficult season of all. Without sufficient incomes or support, many will be food and shelter insecure. While all around is joyous with the coming celebration more than 15% of our community are filled with anxiety and despair, with futures uncertain. We’re working now through the holidays to see that our neighbours in need can share their hopes and joys over a Season of Hope festive dinner (and more) with their children, or partners.

Handsome gent Tom is available for adoption!
Male | Black Lab mix | 8 yrs old | 100 lbs
Tom is a very well-mannered and happy dog. He loves affection, a good scratch, and especially his treats. He also would love to snuggle up on the couch with you if there's room!
Tom always has a smile on his face! He enjoys short walks, is house-trained, and does not require a crate.
Tom came into our care after the death of his owner who loved him so much. He already knows several commands and how to be a heckin' good boy!
Tom has lived with other dogs but can resource guard his food (and his toys around people). If you're looking for a lovely and mature canine companion, please consider making Tom your new best friend!

We have a very exciting announcement -- this adorable little nugget will soon be Canadian! Sadly, he was found as a stray in Texas and was never claimed by his owners; but happily, his story didn’t have to end there. He was in rather rough shape when he was found and desperately needed out of the clink -- a shelter is no place for a dog with a “deadline” that is clearly in pain.
We were thrilled to make an exit plan with our Texan rescue partners who brought him straight to the vet to have that bulging eye examined. (Have we mentioned how much we love our international rescue partners?)
As expected, he was suffering from keratoconjunctivitis sicca, which is a very painful condition that causes extremely dry eyes. If it’s caught early enough, eye drops can be used to manage it, but in this case, he’d been allowed to suffer for too long, and both eyes had to be removed to give him much-needed relief. Although he’s at least four years old, he also had some sneaky little baby teeth hiding in his mouth that required surgery to remove as well!
Our sweet blind floof is currently recovering in Texas and getting ready to pack his bags to make the journey to Niagara where he will be loved and cared for the way he deserves. As you can imagine, he’s racked up quite the vet bill since he was rescued, and we’d love to be able to pay that off before he heads north!
If you’re able, please consider donating your Friday coffee money to help us help him.
Every dollar donated goes directly to the animals in our care and is appreciated more than you will ever know.
If you’re unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this post instead! Thank you for your continued support.

A very generous donor (who wishes to remain anonymous) has pledged to match up to $700 in donations made to Pets Alive between now and November 29th. That means that every dollar you donate between now and then will automatically double, giving us the chance to raise a total of $1400 over the next week!
These funds will allow us to rescue more cats and dogs and continue to support the ones already in our care.
Will you help us? Donations can be made via our website (where you can also get a tax receipt) 🔗 in bio!

The first of our Meximutts is available for adoption, and we have to warn you, FLAMITA is kind of dreamy! #swoon
From his foster: "Flamita wants to please his humans and loves his pack. He enjoys his food and treats at any time. He is a cuddler and is happy to snuggle and give kisses. He takes less than 10 minutes to adapt to a new home evol from our experience upon his arrival.
He loves his comfort whether it be a bed, (human or dog) or the couch. His fav toy so far is the long green KONG for chewing on. He loves exploring out back with the pack."

My sweet boy Arthur is off to his forever home. Arthur was the best first foster experience I could’ve asked for. He beat the odds over and over with his health, he overcame many fears and new experiences, and most of all brought so much love and joy into my home. He is off to be with a new brother and owner, and I know he is in the best hands. 6 months of nothing but love, and a lifetime of memories all thanks to Arthur ❤️
