The Young Animal Protection Society (YAPS) is an incorporated non-profit organisation that exists to shelter and protect homeless, unwanted dogs and cats. YAPS has a "no kill" policy that allows each animal the time to find the right family.

Our vision is for a safe and comfortable refuge for homeless animals that will maximise their prospects for placement in permanent homes and a life without suffering. Our continued success relies on the dedication of our volunteers being matched by the financial support of those who believe in the importance of our caring work.

The purpose of Yaps Facebook page is, with the help of the community, "spread the word" about the dogs and cats available for adoption. The animals that come through the shelter somehow know they are getting a second chance and will love you for life!
