Brandywine Valley SPCA Georgetown Campus

The mission of the BVSPCA is to promote the welfare and humane treatment of animals and to be an advocate on their behalf.

To promote the welfare and humane treatment of animals and to be an advocate on their behalf.

Founded in 1929, Brandywine Valley SPCA, formerly Chester County SPCA, actively promotes the welfare and humane treatment of all animals, serving as Pennsylvania's first open, no-kill shelter. In 2015, Brandywine Valley SPCA expanded its reach beyond Pennsylvania into the state of Delaware, creating a satellite campus in New Castle and subsequently a PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center in Dover. In 2017, the BVSPCA took ownership of the Georgetown Campus to expand services within lower Delaware. For more than 80 years, our organization has lead the charge in the care, nourishment, protection and rehabilitation of numerous cats and dogs in the Chester and Delaware county area. We are proud to continue to serve as an advocate on behalf of all animals in both Pennsylvania and Delaware.
