Meet Lupin

Hi, my name is Lupin and while everyone believes I am a tiny werewolf, I really am just an adorable Pomeranian. I was picked up as a stray, they found my owner, but they decided to not come get me. What gives? I am an older guy, but you would NEVER know it! I love to do little pommy jumps on my back legs to get your attention. I am a very good boy and love everyone I meet. Kid? Cats? Other dogs? Chickens? I’m good! I still like to play some and love to chase stuffed toys. I also LOVE dog beds, but will happily sleep in my crate when needed.

I wasn’t neutered until recently, so while I am housebroken, as a precaution my foster mom had me wear a belly band to make sure I don’t have accidents. I ironically love my belly bands and will wiggle all over while you put them on. Meet Meadow

Hi, my name is Meadow and I am just a big, happy, energetic, SILLY girl. In other words, a typical Shepherd! I am a big gal, about 75lbs and came into MVPC knowing nothing other than happy and silly. Fortunately, I am very smart and willing to learn. My attention span isn’t the longest, but it’s because I feel everything should be a game! So training and exercise should be engaging and fun!

I am very sweet, and love everyone. I have attended training sessions and am good with the dogs there and in my foster home! I looooove chew toys and will happily make a hoarding pile. I am learning how to play fetch, and I must say, it’s fun! I am good in my crate, but shepherds talk, so be ready for some reminders and conversation for the first few minutes. Meet Bradley

Hi, my name is Bradley and I ended up at the shelter as a young puppy with no hair…really. I had a severe case of mange that has taken a few months to heal and let my pretty new coat shine through! I have been busy attending training and learning my puppy manners. I am active and playful, and love everyone I meet. I will need a family that will continue my training and take me on adventures!

Meet Chevelle

Hi, my name is Chevelle and my family and I came from a backyard breeding operation that was busted up. Me, two other moms and two puppies were taken out of the backyard kennels and into awesome foster homes. We are now known as the Hot Rods!! I came in pretty beat up, but it didn’t alter my fun personality!! I am happy and love to play. See the yellow ball in my pictures? That is my most favorite thing. I LOVE to play with my yellow ball. I am doing well on my commands and have been friendly to the new dogs I have met! Meet Caprice

Hi, my name is Caprice and my family and I came from a backyard breeding operation that was busted up. Me, two other moms and two puppies were taken out of the backyard kennels and into awesome foster homes. We are now known as the Hot Rods! Hi! My name is Brody, and I have the Eeyore look down. I am one of eight in the “fancy B” litter! We came to MVPC around 6 weeks old and have learned life is 1000% awesome! Who knows what we are mixed with, but we are all black and white, some are fuzzy, some have short legs…MVPC had to make an educated guess, but just know, we are simply adorable mutts. I am a laid back, mellow, smart guy. I am a great snuggler and will take all the cuddles I can get. I love to play with my siblings and snuggle after play. While I have fabulous crate manners, I will alert you when I need to go out! . I am very smart and have mastered “sit” and “come” when called. I also have the most adorable face and ears, so I know everyone will want to scoop me up and make me a member of their family!

Mila

Mila is a very large, strong puppy. She currently weighs 60lbs and is still growing. She is also extremely strong willed and needs an owner who is going to engage her daily!

She was purchased from a breeder at 8 weeks old, and then promptly dumped at 4 months old when the person decided she was just too much to handle. By the time she reached her foster home at 6 months old, her behavior had spiraled out of control, and while it was pretty typical for a GSD who had been ignored since birth, it was quite extra even for the breed.

Mila has calmed down considerably. She no longer exhibits nervous stress behavior, but she is a continued work in progress and will be for another year or so. Mila is not a family pet. She is a working breed dog who needs a job, and while she can exist nicely within a family, without a purpose in life, she will fail.

Mila needs another dog in the home, preferably another GSD. She is fine with cats, however, she will chase - but is easily called off.

Meet Asa

Hi! My name is Asa and if you're looking for a best friend, one that will hype you up, but also silently judge you - I am your guy. I absolutely loves my people and want to be near you most of the time. I am obsessed with my 'Wubba' toys and carry them around like a security blanket. A lifetime supply of them IS a requirement. I love them. It takes awhile for me to come out of my shell, but turn on the sprinkler and this boy is a goofball. I am mild-tempered but have been known to put a dog or two in their place. I like friendly dogs. Dogs with attitude are not my thing. My happy place is with my people, not in my crate and I will whine if I know you are home and the look I will give you is clearly judging you for not wanting to have me and my Wubba near. But truthfully, I am perfectly fine laying around while waiting for snuggles on the couch.
