ACTion Programs for Animals

ACTion Programs for Animals is working hard to help our community reach a No Kill status (saving 90+% of our sheltered animals' lives) as quickly as possible.

Our mission is to help Dona Ana County reach our No Kill goal to eliminate the unnecessary killing of companion animals via progressive & friendly animal-welfare programs and services. Our vision is that our efforts will help transform our community to improve the quality of life for companion animals and greatly reduce the number of abandoned and homeless animals impounded and killed at our municipal shelter.

Services and programs we offer: pet food bank, low-cost dog and cat vaccination clinics, Second Chance Dogs rescue program for formerly abused dogs, Dona Ana Pets Alive! campaign which pulls at-risk animals from our municipal shelter to lower our kill rate
