WE NEED YOUR HELP!
HRAAD has been contacted by Animal Control in Goldendale. They need help with finding a "fur-ever" home for this beautiful AND pregnant part "Burmese Mountain" dog. She had being living and running "wild" in the Goldendale area until a few weeks ago. She was finally "caught" and is now housed with a vet in the Goldendale area.
She appears to be about 30 days pregnant. She does not appear to be aggressive but is very timid. She is considered a "flight risk" so she would need a foster/permeant home that is very secure. We need someone with new born puppy experience as well!
HRAAD will be responsible for all medical and vaccination costs and will cover her spay once she has her puppies. We can also provide food and other puppy needs.
If you are interested in fostering and her soon to be puppies contact HRAAD at hoodriveradoptadog@gmail.com and we will contact you to discuss the situation.
If you are interested in adopting her please complete our online adoption application that can be found on our website.

The team at Hood River Adopt a Dog wishes to thank everyone who has or is currently participating in our 3rd annual 2022 Art of Bark - It’s A Dog’s Life calendar release event! We hope you are having fun!!!!
We understand that virtual fundraising events are not as much fun as gathering together but in these times we do what we can! We do miss seeing all your smiling faces!
But..... Now it's time for some extra fun and excitement!
Let’s do a “Paddle Raise”!
A Paddle Raise is a fun way for us to request donations to support a particular project, a particular program or a particular capital expense.
Over the past 18 months we, at Hood River Adopt a Dog, like all of you have faced a number of challenges related to COVID -19. These included suspending all of our volunteer and foster operations and being forced to do all adoption meet and greets outside. We analyzed and changed our dog handling flow so that we could recertify and welcome back our volunteers. We are excited to say we adapted! Some would say improved! We are finally safely welcoming back our volunteers. We and the dogs have missed ALL of you so much!
We installed a temporary “pop-up” with chairs, tables, dog splash pools and water dishes that became a wonderful gathering place for our volunteers and staff. This was an area that staff and volunteers could meet before and after walking to discuss our various dogs. It was a covered area for adoption meet and greets. But….it was a “pop-up” and it took a beating in our local wind and weather! a beating it didn't win!
This Paddle Raise is to raise money for a more permanent structure. We are seeking $3000 in order to purchase a premium cedar wood framed gazebo with a steel roof and have it installed!
In order to “sweeten” the deal we’re offering one of Hood River Adopt a Dog’s very special “Helping Hands” pins to the first five (5) donations of $250!
See here to participate: https://fundraiser.bid/HRAAD2022Calendar
Thank you for ALL of your support!

All proceeds from this event go toward rebuilding our shelter medical funds, the Community Assisted Spay & Neuter Program and Frankie's Fund in order help us continue our work for dogs in need in the Gorge.
Bar Dog
"family first, pawz to enjoy"
My Best Friend... Bar Dog Companion, partner, bone-vivant. Always by my side. In my kitchen or at my dog-friendly bar until it is time to go. Like Bar Dog, we love this wine unconditionally. So will you.
THE STORY OF BAR DOG
Almost every family has a dog or dreams of having one. The creator of Bar Dog wines, Terry Wheatley, runs the wine company during the week, but on weekends, she escapes to her ranch in Central California. There her husband, a former world-champion professional rodeo cowboy, raises horses. All ranches have ranch dogs, and the Wheatley ranch dog for as long as anybody can remember is a Boston Terrier. They are smart, funny, energetic, and larger-than-life. When Terry came up with the idea of Bar Dog wine, she was thinking about her family dog. And yours.
You can win a bottle of Bar Dog 2016 CABERNET SAUVIGNON in our Mystery Beverage Raffle.
