The Pietermaritzburg SPCA is one of over 90 societies in South Africa today and is a member of the National Councils of SPCAs (NSPCA).

Our mission is the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Monday to Friday: 08h00 - 16h00
Saturdays: 08h00 - 13h00
Closed on Sundays and all Public holidays.

MORNING MARKETS

The SPCA Morning Markets take place on the first and last Saturday of every month from 09h00 to 12h00 at the SPCA grounds. On offer are the following:

The Book Room: books, magazines, records, audio and video tapes and CDs and DVDs.
Linen Basket: a selection of good quality, clean second-hand clothing and linen.
Joyce’s Small Garden: a great selection of indoor and outdoor plants.
The White Elephant: people’s discards may be someone’s treasure.
Tea garden: hot and cold refreshments and delicious, mouth watering snacks will tempt you.
