Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter

A non-profit organization dedicated to placing abandoned or relinquished animals into appropriate homes by working with volunteers, rescue groups and vets.

Welcome to the Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter Facebook page! We are a non-profit organization dedicated to placing abandoned or relinquished animals into appropriate homes. We accomplish this mission by working with volunteers, rescue groups, Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio shelters, foster homes and veterinarians. Through our efforts, we rescue and place hundreds of animals per year in well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We are also a community resource to pet owners by providing information on responsible pet ownership, education and assistance on the critical decision to spay and neuter pets and positive training methods.

Animals for adoption at the Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter are posted on several pet adoption sites. See our Available Pets link on our Facebook page for the public: Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter. Or, stop by the shelter to meet them in person. Animals at the shelter can also be viewed in two local newspapers. The "Times Tribune" will show them in the Around Town section of the paper and the "News Journal" will show them in Wednesday's paper.
