The Animal Protection shelter is small,housing about 45 animals total. It is located in Fairfield Bay on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake. Our shelter is governed by a board of seven. Our Goal-To provide good loving homes for our animals and to participate in the spay/neuter program. During their stay with us we give our animals love and care as though they were our own. Our shelter boasts that we have not had an outbreak of any serious disease, including Parvo, in over 10 years with our outstanding cleanliness record. Few shelters can say this. Support-Our shelter is supported from fund-raisers, donations and supplemented by the city of Fairfield Bay.

Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee is $60.00 for adult dogs which includes spay/neuter, basic shots, rabies shot and heart worm test.
The cost for puppies is $75.00 which includes spay/neuter, basic shots and rabies shot.
The cost for cats and kittens is $45.00 which includes spay/neuter, basic shots and rabies shot.

Our animals are people friendly and love company to walk,pet and love them. We invite you to visit our shelter.
Directions from Highway 16 and Fairfield Bay Main Entrance: Our shelter is located 7/10 of a mile from the front entrance of Fairfield Bay on highway 16 east. Turn right on Old Quarry Rd. We are the only building on left.
