Broken Tail Rescue, Inc.
We are a MA non-profit organization dedicated to saving animals in danger of being euthanized. Our goal is to responsibly rehome these pets while working on educating our community on responsible pet ownership.
Broken Tail Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit foster-based rescue organization dedicated to the rescue of unwanted and abandoned animals in urgent need. We work closely with local animal controls, animal shelters and other rescue groups to ensure the placement of these forgotten animals. We will not discriminate on basis of health, age, or breed and will only consider humane euthanasia in cases of aggression or for quality of life due to untreatable medical conditions. We are proud to have a 100% spay/neuter rate for our adopted dogs and cats.
Our animals are vet examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered as needed and receive any and all medical treatment necessary prior to being placed into carefully screened permanent homes.

LOST CAT - DORCHESTER, Lafield St. Orange tabby female shorthair, white mouth and bib on neck. Do NOT chase. Snap a photo and call 508-494-0963 with any sightings!
Have you seen Honey?
On September 25, 2021, a former Broken Tail Rescue cat named Honey accidentally got out of her new home in Dorchester. Honey and her bonded sibling Apple had just been adopted two days prior.
Our volunteers immediately took action to find sweet Honey, teaming up with the wonderful folks at @charlesriveralleycats as well as concerned cat-loving neighbors. Honey has still not been found. Will you please share this post and alert your Boston area friends? (Dorchester residents especially!)

Did you know❓ Fleas often carry infectious agents - which can transmit tapeworms to cats! Fleas can also cause anemia in kittens.
▫
Broken Tail Rescue is running low on flea preventative - something that all of our cats get treated with when we take them in. Please visit our Chewy wishlist (link in bio) to help support our cause! 💙
