Saved Me
We're all about saving homeless animals! Saved Me rescues animals from overburdened shelters locally and nationwide. 3,400 have been saved so far.
Saved Me has two primary goals:
1) To provide foster, rescue and adoption services through our Save A Life Program.
We save animals from shelters nationwide before they are euthanized and find them loving forever homes. The animals in our Save A Life Program receive the care and medical treatment they need prior to adoption.
2) To engage kids of all ages in community service to help save lives. Through outreach and education programs with local schools and other community based groups, we teach kids how to make a difference. Engaging kids of all ages in community service will help save the lives of the animals who need us the most.

“Does anyone have the contact info for the elves that can help me find a furever home?” -Alton
Alton is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that came to us in August, he came in underweight and shutdown. Now he is a healthy silly boy and has earned the nickname big doofus here at the shelter. He’s super smart and makes the world best running partner.
Unfortunately Alton doesn’t get much interest in fact since he has been here since August he’s only got one application!
If you are looking for a silly, dog friendly pup he is your guy!
Head on over to www.savedme.org to apply!

Petey needs your help! He came to us with a ruptured tumor on his side requiring surgery.
He’s a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier from Tennessee. For a senior dog he’s got puppy-like energy and just wants to play and run around with you but he won’t be able to until he’s fully recovered.
Please consider helping us fund his surgery. Estimated cost is $800. We won’t be able to help more medical cases if we can’t get the cost of this one covered.
You can donate via Venmo (@savedmephilly) or Paypal (link in bio) and any amount helps.

We are running low on some supplies and if you are in the giving spirit you can order off our Amazon wishlist or directly send us donations!

FOUND DOG!
A good samaritan found this good boy this morning at 26th and Mifflin. According to his microchip his name is Arnold and he’s 4 years old. He’s clearly been on the streets for a while. We’ve reached out to the owner via the microchip registry and have filed a found report with @acctphilly.
If you recognize this boy and know his owners, please contact them and let them know he is safe.
He will sit out a microchip hold with us while we wait to see if there’s someone out there who’s been looking for him for a while.

Meet Dawn! Dawn is a 1 year old Border Collie mix from Tennessee. She’s been waiting at a shelter down there since May with no interest. But not anymore!
Dawn is now here with us and she couldn’t be more perfect. Here’s what her Thanksgiving fosters had to say:
“She is very cuddly and gentle, but also needs an outlet for her energy. She loves to chew her toys to pieces and gnaw loudly on bones, but is good about listening to "no" when she gets curious about toys that aren't hers. She seems to be housebroken, and she mostly only makes noise (whines, whimpers, and very little barking), when she needs to go outside or when she is wanting attention. And she loves a lot of attention!”
Plus her adoption fee is sponsored (because her fosters loved her that much)!!
Dawn is an absolute love bug and is dog-friendly and good with kids.
Meet her at @doggiestylepets in Bala Cynwyd or apply on savedme.org/adopt
