CLASS Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society resurrected 2013

CLASS -Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society is a 501c3 NON PROFIT, NO KILL refuge for unwanted, abandoned, neglected dogs and cats.

Every animal, regardless of breed placed in the care of CLASS, is cared for with DIGNITY, PROFESSIONALISM, COMPASSION and RESPECT.

Nestled between San Antonio and Austin Texas, in the water lover's paradise of Canyon Lake, is the Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society. Originally established in 1998, CLASS as the acronym is known, is a non profit 501c3, no kill, companion animal shelter, serving the Canyon Lake and Comal County, Tx area. The past several years have been fraught with controversy and allegations about mismanagement etc. A new board was created on Sunday August 11, 2013, at which time the previous board created in April 2013, chose to step down. The previous board members already hold positions on several other boards in the community, as well as being business owners. They conceded as they did not have the time, it was in the best interest of the animals at CLASS to relinquish their positions. The previous management team at the shelter were relieved of their duties on Monday August 12. 2013. The new "hands on" board, comprises of business owners and pet care professionals. It is the mission of the new board of directors to LOOK FORWARD NOT BACK. The ultimate goal is to ensure each animal placed in the care of CLASS, is cared for with DIGNITY, PROFESSIONALISM, COMPASSION and HUMILITY. Our current hours of operation are Tue-Sat 10-5. Sun and Mon closed. (Please note these hours are subject to change during winter months.)
