We are a 501c3 non profit rescue founded and run by some of San Antonio's top animal behavior consultants who's mission is to help SA achieve no kill using a welfare first approach.

The mission of MMK9 is to help provide the resources, education, and community outreach necessary to end shelter killing of companion animals. We are the first program in the San Antonio area providing a holistic approach based around behavior, training, and enrichment. We like to think of our dogs as being at summer camp with us while they wait for their forever homes.

Mission: Miracle K9 rescue is a dog-centric, foster based rescue group. We volunteer our time and resources to save street rescues and dogs at risk of euthanasia through training and behavior support, fosters, educational resources, and adoption events. We definitely have a reputation for focusing on dogs that may be more difficult to adopt, with the motto, “The most difficult dogs are the most rewarding.” We are a younger rescue in town, but our list of successes is rapidly growing. Once rehabilitated, our dogs move to local homes or find homes in other states through our successful transportation program. Our rescue also offers behavior assessment for other rescues wanting to save a dog, but afraid to because of a shelter label of aggression, or the ways the dog displays stress in the shelter appearing to be aggression.
Every day we work tirelessly to save misunderstood dogs and educate the public about dog training and socialization.
With your help and donations, we can continue to do what we do. Sometimes you just have to have a little faith in these dogs that don't "show well" in the shelter environment and use our education in dog behavior and training to be able to look beyond what we see in there. These dogs that need a "little something extra" are just as deserving as the rest. And they prove themselves every time because of the training and rehibiliation we provide for them.
