Friends of Linden Animal Shelter (FOLAS) is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal rescue group located in Linden, NJ, that is dedicated to finding lifelong, committed and loving homes for many deserving animals.

Friends of Linden Animal Shelter (FOLAS) was formed in 2000. We are dedicated to finding lifelong, committed and loving homes for the many deserving animals that have found their way into Linden Animal Control, which services Linden, Rahway, Roselle and Winfield Park, NJ.

We care for and find adoptive homes for unwanted previous pets or unclaimed strays regardless of the manner they arrive into our system. FOLAS has rescued thousands of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits, ferrets, iguanas, snakes and one pig, and have found homes for hundreds of homeless friends.

We promote spay/neuter of all companion animals and strive to educate the public on the importance of sterilization. All animals adopted through Friends of Linden Animal Shelter are vetted, vaccinated and spayed/neutered (if age appropriate).

FOLAS is in constant need of support from local residents to maintain the Linden Animal Shelter. We operate strictly by private donation in the form of monies, food, and supplies. All donations go wholly and directly to supporting the wonderful animals in our care.

Please help us help them!

We have so many animals available for adoption. Most are at our shelter, some are in Foster Homes, and others are at Petsmart in Union on Rt. 22. (only cats). Come to the shelter to meet our animals during regular visiting hours, or fill out an online application at www.folas.org and make an appointment.

The Friends of Linden Animal Shelter is in no way affiliated with the Linden Animal Control Center (LAC).
