To enforce the regulations for domestic animals' care and control, there by providing protection to the people and property of Summit County.

To provide the domestic animals in our care with a secure, shelter environment. To offer adoptable animals an opportunity for placement into permanent, responsible and safe homes where they are valued.

Summit County Animal Control and Shelter is a Division of the Summit County Sheriff's Office. We enforce the animal control regulations for unincorporated Summit County. The shelter is utilized by citizens and visitors of all Summit County.
