Friends of Scales is a foster based, volunteer run, 501(c)3 not for profit reptile rescue. We are the only dedicated reptile rescue in Illinois!

Our missions are to: end herpetile abuse, neglect, and misunderstanding through rehoming of our rescue animals; and promote conservation through responsible pet ownership.

Our goal is to create a network of volunteers to home as many of these reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates as possible and to help find each and every one of them a home and have some fun along the way!

Illinois' only 501c3 not for profit reptile, amphibian, and invertebrate rescue that specializes in the care of the ill, injured, and neglected as well as those that just need a new home!
