The Grateful Dog Animal Rescue saves dogs from high kill shelters in the rural south. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home our dogs through a careful adoption process to ensure a lifelong happy and structured foundation for our Grateful Dogs.

The Grateful Dog Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer dog rescue dedicated to saving the lives of dogs left in high kill shelters, and local surrenders of owners who no longer want their dogs. We mainly pull southern dogs who are at risk for euthanasia. We try to pull the dogs who have been at the shelter the longest, the black dogs, older dogs, and simply overlooked dogs. We believe every shelter dog deserves a chance to be Grateful, and though we can't save them all, we do everything we can to make a dent in getting homeless dogs off of the streets and out of the shelter.
