Little Mo Rescue

Little Mo Rescue

Little Mo Rescue is named after my most challenging (and wonderful) rescued cat. She taught me about unconditional love, never giving up, and patience.

I am raising funds to spay/neuter feral cats in my area. Funds will be used to provide medical care, winter shelters & healthy food. I will foster and find loving homes for all kittens & friendly cats. My hope is to reduce the amount of feral cats born on the streets that so often die due to cold weather, illness, starvation and animal cruelty. All funds will be used for the cats, starting with colonies on my block.

Little Mo Rescue is named after my most challenging (and wonderful) rescue cats. The reason I chose to dedicate the rescue after her is because she taught me the most about unconditional love, never giving up, and patience. Mo (named before we knew she was a girl) was injured, wild, terrified, and unmanageable. She scared me, hissing and spitting every time I was near. Mo needed emergency surgery to amputate a severely infected leg; She came out of surgery hissing. I spent days sitting next to her cage, sometimes talking to her, sometimes just reading or playing on my phone. She responded well to the other cats, not so much to me. After about two months, she let me touch her, but only if we were playing with her favorite toy. Slowly we began to trust one another and today she is loving, cuddly, and always wants my attention. She’s a miracle. She taught me that first impressions are not always real and that with time, patience, and lots of love anything is possible.
