Ragtag Rescue Mobile Adoption Services (Ragtag), is a non-profit, volunteer organization focusing on animal adoption and humane education.

Ragtag Rescue’s main goal is to reduce the population of homeless companion animals in East Texas by focusing on:

1) Mobile adoption and transport services for animal shelters and foster based rescue groups.

2) Humane education programs emphasizing the importance of spay/neuter, breeder and puppy mill awareness, and responsible pet ownership.

3) Community outreach to include low/no cost spay/neuter vouchers.

East Texas shelters have no choice but to euthanize 75~80%. We are concentrating in Henderson, Van Zandt, Smith and surrounding counties.

Ragtag’s 7 x 18 ft. trailer can transport up to 22 animals from your shelter or rescue, directly to and from an adoption event site (no more crates!). A less stressed animal is more likely to be adopted. Our trailer is also available for short term lease to shelters and rescue groups.
