We are a registered not for profit 501(c)3, located in the Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach areas of Florida.

Shepherd Help and Rescue Effort, Inc. consists of a group of Animal Lovers that have fallen in love with the German Shepherd Breed. We work tirelessly to save these Regal dogs from high kill shelters. We work primarily out of Dade and Broward County high kill shelters. Most of our dogs were on their last day and scheduled to be euthanized or had special needs that required medical treatment (such as heartworm or orthopedic issues from Traumatic injuries. We know German Shepherds don't always do well in a shelter setting..and we really try our best to get them out, put them in loving foster homes and get these very intelligent dogs rehomed to appropriate families.
