Animal Welfare

Our mission includes:
*Promoting the adoption of the homeless animals of our community, in addition to our shelter's dogs, cats and other animals, into permanent responsible and loving homes.
*Fighting overpopulations by providing spay/neuter funding for all the homeless animals.
*Providing funding for vaccinations and medical care for the shelter's dogs, cats, and other animals along with the homeless ones in our community.
*Furnishing supplies needed for the sheltered animals in order to provide them with a better quality of life while they are there.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Friends of the Shelton Animal Shelter [FSAS]. None of the things we have accomplished already, or hope to accomplish in the future, would be possible without the continuous fundraising efforts of our volunteers and the special support of our community. Your support helps provide shelter, food, medical care and much more for the pets FSAS supports.

Our group has provided for the vaccination, medical care, and neutering thousands of animals in our community. We have also provided temporary foster homes for many of the homeless cats in our community.
Our group was instrumental in getting the shelter rebuilt to better accommodate the many needy animals in our community.
