Sweet Peas & Butterflies - Animal Rescue Sanctuary & Petting Farm

We are a small local charity offering a loving forever home to farm animals & small furries. We also take in and treat sick or injured wildlife.

To create on earth a haven of peace and tranquility for all living beings, where clarity, caring, trust, honesty, love and happiness reign freely.
My energy from joy and love are all wonderful pleasures to give. From this earth love shines and heals all from the passion within.
Support is given freely and all know that we make a difference with our powerful loving oneness.

A little bit of history of how I came up with the idea for project Sweet Peas & Butterflies, Animal Rescue & Sanctuary and Petting Farm.

I've always been an avid animal lover and hate to see animals mistreated, neglected, tortured, abused or killed for sport or fun and will never turn down the opportunity to help an animal in need.

The ‘Sweet Pea’ part is in memory of my mumsie who died in 2010. She was a wonderful lady who was kind, caring & considerate of all living beings and very spiritual. Therefore I have built the principle values and mission statement around a quote my mumsie wrote in April 1996 titled, 'My definition of Success' and is as follows;

‘My definition of success is to create on earth a haven of peace & tranquility for all living beings, where clarity, caring, trust, honesty, love and happiness reign freely.
My energy from joy & love are all wonderful pleasures to give. From this earth love shines & heals all from the passion within.
Support is given freely and all know that we make a difference with our powerful loving oneness.”

The ‘Butterflies’ part, is a representation of the animal kingdom and earth and how it’s in a fragile state due to humans decimating animal habitats and also inflicting immense cruelty upon animals by various methods including but not exclusive; poaching, killing, slaughtering, torturing, neglect and kidnapping from the wild for the pet trade.

The petting farm will be open to anyone but primarily aimed at 2 to 10 year olds, with a view to educating them about where the food on their plate comes from and that all animals are our friends and they're all needed for stable and healthy ecosystems and in turn our planet.

All animals that are in the sanctuary and having treatment will be off limits until they go into the halfway housing just before been release back into the wild, these animals will have limited access and definitely no hands-on.
