Established in 2002, Furrever Friends Rescue, Montreal Chapter, is a non-for-profits organization that goes the extra mile to save cats and dogs.

At Furrever Friends, we believe that all animals have the potentiel to fully developed with the required amount of love. This is why we put a lot of efforts to screen the animals in order to understand their behaviours and their temperaments. When an animal is considered too aggressive to be adopted, we keep it at the shelter until the animal grows to its full potential and is ready to move into a new family. Indeed, since a lot of the animals we rescue have been neglected, treated poorly or even beaten, one really needs to build a strong relationship with the animal so that it can trust humans again. In that vein, the foster homes are also well screened. We think it is crucial to really understand the expectations and needs of the families to facilitate the adaptation of the animal in its new home.

Moreover, all the animals that we rescue are vaccinated and well treated.

Finally, all the people who are working at Furrever Friends are doing it on a voluntary base. More than just employees they are really part of what we call our family. This strongly contributes to build strong relationships with the animals and a culture of solidarity within the organization.
